Michael P. Donovan

Michael Donovan is a founding partner of Donovan/Green, a marketing communication and design consultancy. He continues to evolve as an active, creative, entrepreneur. With his wife and partner, Nancye Green, he has engaged in the development of the next iteration of a strategy-based, communication agency. Their firm provides integrated, all-media, solutions in exclusive relationships with select clients. In that context Donovan/Green provides enterprise wide strategy and branding leadership, as well as, creative execution. Both Donovan and Green have a penchant for identifying opportunities to engage with audiences in new ways. That focus has resulted in the formation of five distinct businesses ranging from sustainability in automotive, health care and online retail linked to a full, retail-destination.

Mr. Donovan has served on the national boards of the American Institute of Graphic Arts, The Society of Environmental Graphic Design, The National Design Center, The Art Directors Club and as an advisor to the Aspen Design Conference. He is currently on the Board of Governors of Parsons School of Design, as Vice-Chairman and the Municipal Arts Society. Through his creative career he has received recognition and awards for branding solutions, information design and environmental design. He was recognized in Richard Saul Wurman’s 1000 Most Creative People in America. He is an NEA Fellow and received the Christian Petersen Award for Creativity from Iowa State University, his first alma mater, where he served as an advisor to the Design College. He has taught at Parsons School of Design and Pratt Institute.
