The LogoLounge Trend Report

Auditorium   Level 2

Learn to spot patterns and trends you can use to inspire your branding work. In this session, you’ll see case examples and hundreds of visual references from well-known identities in the news, as well as samples from otherwise unrecognized designers. With the help of Bill Gardner’s observations as well as your own wit and perception, you’ll have the tools to advance your logo design to the next level of brilliance. The LogoLounge Logo Trend Report is one resource dedicated to helping designers stay abreast of emerging trends. This annual report forecasts trends within the international identity design community, and appears annually in a mix of worldwide publications and online resources that broadly republish the report. The driver of the Trend Report is LogoLounge.com, an international compendium of more than 207,000 logos from the world’s leading corporate identity designers.

Bill Gardner will reveal the trends—including transparencies, faceting, motion and hand-crafted aesthetics—he observed while working on the 2013 LogoLounge Logo Trend Report. But identifying trends in design is less about the specific projects designers are working on, and more about the influences that are directing the identity field.

3 Main Take-Aways:
  1. Learn how trends develop and how to spot the significant influences.
  2. Learn how to forecast design currents by discovering design trajectory.
  3. Learn how to utilize trends to maintain relevance and develop new and emerging design directions.
