Bob Gill
Bob Gill went to London on a whim and stayed fifteen years. He started the design group, Fletcher/Forbes/Gill, later renamed Pentagram. After leaving (it was already getting too big), he continued to work in London for a few more years. He returned to NY to co-write and design Beatlemania, a multi-media and live history of the Sixties which ran on Broadway for three years.
His graphics have been exhibited in major institutions around the world and his lectures are legendary. He has written many books on design and illustration as well as a number for children. He earned a Lifetime Achievement Award from The London Art Directors’ Club and the NY Art DIrectors’ Club elected him into their Hall of Fame. He’s now designing and illustrating in NY. His latest book is Bob Gill, so far.
